SEREMBAN – Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu today confirmed that he has been appointed as the Negri Sembilan Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman with immediate effect. 

Faizal is replacing former Kuala Pilah MP Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith. 

He said the move was among several things implemented to help the final preparations of the state election machinery ahead of the polls. 

“Datuk Eddin Syazlee remains in the leadership structure. He has performed well. 

“The current effort is to involve the central leadership to increase and smooth the journey of the party machinery,” he told Bernama here today. 

However, Faizal refused to comment on the reason behind Eddin Syazlee’s removal as PN state chairman. – Bernama, June 2, 2023
