PETALING JAYA – Perikatan Nasional information chief Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the state election results could be expected around 7pm to 8pm today.

He said he believes a large percentage of voters will cast their votes today and the counting process could take longer.

“Perhaps between 7pm and 8pm... we can start getting some results,” he said.

He was met at SK Klang Gate with his wife, Datin Seri Shamsia Taharin, when the couple came to cast their votes at 8.52am.

Azmin is facing a straight fight against Juwairiya Zulkifli from Pakatan Harapan for the Hulu Kelang state seat.

He kicked off his political career by winning the Hulu Kelang seat in 1999 before moving to Bukit Antarabangsa in 2008. He held the seat for three terms. – The Vibes, August 12, 2023
