THE Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council meeting at the home of its President, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, began this morning as the party's turmoil continues following the dismissal of its Deputy President, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, from the party yesterday.

Bersatu Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali arrived at Muhyiddin's residence to join the meeting at about 9.40am.

It is understood that one of the main agendas is for Muhyiddin to provide an explanation regarding the party's political developments as Bersatu faces increasing attention.

Apart from Hamzah, 16 other leaders were also sacked by the Bersatu Disciplinary Board yesterday, with those from Perak topping the list.

Four elected representatives, consisting of three Members of Parliament and one State Assemblyman (ADUN), were among those who received the sack, along with four other Bersatu division leaders.
