PETALING JAYA – It would appear that Menu Rahmah has a contender now called “Menu Sanusi”.

It is however only available at one restaurant in Kedah.

Anjung Selera Rasa Anakku in Pokok Sena took to introducing Menu Sanusi where a range of dishes are being sold at RM1 each.

In a TikTok video, a customer tried out the offer, in a bid to highlight how the portion is reasonable and not too little considering the RM1 price tag.

TikTok user Muhammad Ikhwanuddin ordered a bowl of curry noodles and remarked that it was a decent portion for RM1.

In a news report, the shop’s owner Nur Ezzeanni Abdullah said she had been selling the RM1 dishes since before the Covid-19 pandemic, however it was rebranded to Menu Sanusi following Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor’s win in the recent state election.

Sanusi who won the Jeneri state seat was then reappointed as Kedah menteri besar.

Among the dishes available for RM1 are curry mee, laksa, kuey teow, fried chicken, soy sauce chicken and chicken rendang.

Nur Ezzeanni said it was her husband, Azizan Mahmud’s idea to call their RM1 initiative as Menu Sanusi.

She remarked that it was their bit to make people know more about Kedah.

While some may argue that selling these dishes for RM1 would incur losses for her, she said this was her way of giving back to the community. – The Vibes, August 25, 2023
