PETALING JAYA – A pair of huskies appeared lost on the streets of Tupai in Taiping.
Huskies are not native to Malaysia as the dogs are more commonly found in polar regions. Breeding businesses, however, have led to the breed being imported here.
On TikTok, user @seoranghidayattt posted a video of the dogs roaming the streets, asking for help to locate their owner.
While the fate of the dogs remains unknown at this time, TikTok users expressed concern for the poor animals.
It is apparent that these dogs are not strays and would not know how to survive on the streets.
On Facebook, the Taiping Animal Savers and Rehoming (Tasar) group shared the video in a bid to help locate the dogs’ owner.
“It appears that these two huskies belong to an uncle who releases them to roam and they then go back home. Very irresponsible owner,” Tasar said.
Tasar, in the comment section, asked for help in locating the owner so the dogs could be picked up as they were at risk of being picked up by the local council, or meet with an accident.
One user said many would be interested to adopt the dogs if the owner does not want them.
“Indeed, many will. They will probably lead better lives rather than roaming in the street. Those huskies are very lean-looking for huskies and need fattening up with more protein,” Tasar replied. – The Vibes, September 9, 2023
