KOTA KINABALU — Sabah Pakatan Harapan (Sabah PH) today firmly rejected talk that former Sabah Barisan Nasional leader, Tan Sri Musa Aman, is set to assume leadership within the alliance.
In response to a Malaysiakini report, Sabah PH emphasised that they had not been consulted nor reached any decisions regarding leadership within the PH coalition.
“Pakatan Harapan Sabah is taken aback by a news report titled "Musa Aman to lead PH Sabah?" published by Malaysiakini, which has rapidly spread across social media platforms, causing concern among members and supporters.
“Pakatan Harapan Sabah maintains that any decisions concerning the mandate and trust of the people must be form the leadership of Pakatan Harapan Sabah.
“Pakatan Harapan Sabah will meet soon to address this issue along with charting the course for PH Sabah as we approach the forthcoming state election,” the alliance said in a statement today.
Currently, Sabah PH is under the leadership of Datuk Christina Liew, bolstered by the presidents of component parties, namely Datuk Ewon Benedick (Upko), Datuk Sangkar Rasam (Sabah PKR), Datuk Frankie Poon (Sabah DAP chairman), and Lahirul Latigu (Sabah Amanah chairman). — The Vibes, September 15, 2023
