MIRI - Search and rescue teams today recovered the bodies of three teenage boys who went missing on Sunday in the remote Batang Lassa River in central Sarawak.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department said search units this morning recovered the bodies of the three boys, all aged 13, between 6am to 9am in three different locations in the river, about one to four km from the spot they were swept away.
The boys were identified as Hendias Enggung, Aldrin Gambang and Sebastian Seman, each of them from the longhouses located along the river, the department said in a press statement.
They had gone missing while playing in the waters and the department had deployed search teams but failed to find them despite frantic efforts.
The bodies of the three boys have been handed over to the police, the department said. - The Vibes, October 17, 2023
