PETALING JAYA – Three Singaporeans who were part of a luxury car convoy here were involved in an accident about 9am yesterday.

The incident occurred when one of the McLarens attempted to make a U-turn to enter a junction at Jalan Yong Peng in Johor.

The first McLaren slowed down to make a right turn when the third car lost control and rear-ended the second, causing it to crash into the first car.

Kluang district deputy police chief Nik Azmi Husin said all three Singaporeans were driving McLaren 570S and 720S supercars southwards in Kluang, Johor, from Batu Empat to Taman Sri Lambak.

Viral videos and pictures showed the three McLarens badly damaged.

The three cars involved in the accident were part of a convoy of six cars, Nik Azmi said.

According to Nik Azmi, the case is being investigated under Rule 10 LN 166/59 of the Road Traffic Rules. – The Vibes, October 30, 2023
