PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) deputy chairman Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the coalition's manifesto for the Negeri Sembilan state election bears strong similarities to Barisan Nasional's (BN) manifesto, reflecting what he described as a common aspiration to advance the state's development.
Speaking after the launch of BN's election manifesto in Sendayan yesterday, Tuan Ibrahim said PN would unveil its own manifesto tomorrow night, adding that there was little difference between the two policy documents.
“Cooperation (with BN) this time is hoped to produce good results. Based on this manifesto, I see that there is not much difference. PN will also present a similar manifesto tomorrow night.
“I find that the contents are almost the same, reflecting our shared aspiration to see Negeri Sembilan move forward, and hopefully we will succeed,” he said.
Tuan Ibrahim said the commitments outlined in the manifesto could be effectively implemented if voters gave the coalition a clear mandate in the Aug 1 state election.
He also said several proposals contained in BN's manifesto deserved the attention of Negeri Sembilan voters, particularly those addressing welfare and long-term development.
“This is especially the welfare initiatives, the Vision Valley agenda for Negeri Sembilan, environmental issues, employment opportunities and housing, which are among the key concerns and needs of the people, particularly the younger generation,” he said.
For the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election, BN and PN have entered into an electoral understanding under which BN is contesting 25 state seats, while PN is fielding candidates in the remaining 11 constituencies. - July 25, 2026
