IPOH – Perak Dewan Negara member Datuk Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini has denied saying that no PAS assemblymen will be appointed to the Perak's executive council.

He said the comments attributed to him in a post that went viral online was malicious.

The Vibes learnt that Annuar has since lodged a police report on the matter.

Earlier, Annuar had told reporters outside Istana Kinta earlier that Perak's Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah had consented for five more exco members to be sworn in this afternoon, but kept mum on their identities.

Bernama later reported that they were two each from PAS and Bersatu, with one more from Umno.

On December 10, five exco members were sworn in to serve under the new Menteri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad.

Four of them – Datuk Zolkafly Harun (Umno-Lintang), Datuk Shahrul Zaman Yahya (Umno-Rungkup), Datuk Dr Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin (Umno-Kg Gajah) and Khairul Shahril Mohamed (Umno-Bota) – had also served under the previous administration of Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu while Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharudin (Bersatu-Sungai Manik) is a new face. – Bernama, December 15, 2020
