The Good, The Bad and The Ugly – Episode 10: On the anti-hopping bill, dilapidated stadiums and movie censorship

THIS week, the panellists discuss the debates in Parliament on the tabling of amendments to the federal constitution relating to anti-party hopping. Joined by The Vibes’ reporter, Qistina Nadia Dqulkarnain, she lays out the general feeling among the parliamentarians and the sentiments of younger voters on this age-old phenomenon and the scourge of money politics.

What to do about the Shah Alam Stadium? Should this dilapidated 28-year-old stadium be refurbished or demolished? 

To repair and renovate this iconic stadium would cost RM787 million. Would it be more cost effective to raze the old and build a new one? And are two stadiums the answer? 

Does the quality of our sports, especially football  justify the expense?  Will Malaysia ever develop a proper maintenance culture so buildings and public amenities can be enjoyed for far longer than the few years it remains bright and new?

Finally, movie goers have been disappointed by Disney’s decision not to release Thor: Love and Thunder in Malaysia.
