MEN'S doubles pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani clinched their third title of the year by winning the Arctic Open 2024 in Vantaa, Finland. Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin came from a game down in the finals to dash Danes Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen’s hopes of defending their title in the Super 500 tournament.

The Malaysians have won two of the previous eight encounters with the Danish duo, with their previous win coming at the 2022 French Open.

The Arctic Open was the Malaysians’ third final appearance of the year, having previously won the Japan Open in August and China Open last month.

However, women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah came close but could not overpower world No. 2 Chinese pair Liu Shengshu-Tan Ning in another final.

The world No. 7 Malaysians fell 12-21, 17-21 to the top-seeded Chinese pair. - October 14, 2024
