KUALA LUMPUR - The Asian Nations Cup Online U14 Chess Championship concludes with the Malaysian Boys A-Team landing third. 

Following behind India A-Team of 15 match points, and Iran A-Team of 14 points, the Malaysian A-Team ended the championship with 12 points. 

At the same time, Malaysia was able to bag a gold medal for Best second Board player, Poh Yu Tian.

The boys B-Team moved up 14 places from the 22nd and ended the championship at eighth place.

As for the girls' team, team A ended at the 11th spot while team B secure the 16th spot. 

A total of 32 teams for the boys' event and 24 teams for the girls' event participated across Asia

The Malaysian Chess Federation has expressed their gratefulness to all Malaysian players who took part in this event and is confident that the experiences and knowledge gained throughout the event will serve as a good platform for all players involved. - Malaysian Chess Federation, March 30, 2021
