THE last time I wrote about this was after an interview with Marina Danker. Now I look forward to sleeping and waking up early so I can meditate for 20 minutes in the morning.

Since I started my meditation journey, I feel like I literally have been reconfigured. I am happier and I am calmer. I smile even when I get a cancellation three minutes before my class.

Yesterday, a student was 10 minutes late and her phone was ringing non-stop in class. But I was fine. I didn’t trip. I rarely become angry nowadays and I find fun in everything.

I reconnected with friends whom I have not heard from for many years and feel like I want to build more friendships. It’s weird but I feel this is caused by a happy and non-judgmental heart.

But by far, the most amazing benefit is that my friends say they feel a sense of serenity and calmness shining through me. Wow.

I seriously think it’s the meditation in the mornings. In the beginning, meditating felt weird and forced. I was fidgety 90% of the time. I was trying so hard. Too hard. I had to pretend that I was focused and nothing came naturally.

After a week, the strangeness went away. My mom stayed over last week and was surprised to see my new-found hobby, she said eh I thought only monks meditate. You want to be a monk ke?

So I had to explain and dropped names of a few successful people who meditate, like Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, Sting, Chris Martin and so many more.

It is evidently true too that the effectiveness of meditation has been measured through scientific studies and have revealed an incredible array of benefits.

Seriously guys, I couldn’t believe that a simple 20-minute daily meditation could change my life so extensively. So, this week, I would like to invite you to join me in another guided meditation journey.
