LE HAVRE - Rapinoe and Alex Morgan struck first-half goals as the United States beat France 2-0 in a friendly in Le Havre on Tuesday, extending their unbeaten run to 39 matches.

Rapinoe, whose two goals eliminated France in the quarter-finals of the 2019 World Cup, converted a penalty after five minutes as she and Morgan both made their 175th international appearance.

Morgan added a second goal with a sharp finish from a Christen Press pass on 19 minutes in a much improved display from the world champions following Saturday's 1-1 draw in Sweden.

The US haven't lost since a defeat to France in January 2019, while the loss was the first for Les Bleues in 17 outings since going down 2-1 to the same opponents at the last World Cup. - AFP, April 14, 2021
