ALOR SETAR - Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC) coach Aidil Sharin Sahak has commended his players for their fighting spirit which he said enabled them to edge Kuala Lumpur City FC (KL City FC) 3-2 at Stadium Darul Aman last night.

Aidil Sharin said several young players were instrumental in sparking their fightback towards the end of the second half.

“I'm grateful (for their performance) and credit should be given to the players who kept probing for scoring opportunities; it's not easy to play against KL City FC. I think our players are back at their best.

“Young players Mohammad Fayadh and Fadzrul Danel contributed a lot to the team, and it's hard to believe we secured three points only towards the end of the game,” he told reporters after the Super League match.

He hoped KDA FC would keep up their momentum in subsequent matches.

KDA FC were trailing 1-2 before striker Tchetche Kipre scored two goals in injury time in the second half to give them victory.

KL City FC chief coach Bojan Hodak praised his charges for giving KDA FC a good fight before succumbing to the two goals in the dying minutes. - Bernama. April 24, 2021
