KUALA LUMPUR - National women’s football squad goalkeeper, Nurul Azurin Mazlan, has started on a new chapter in her footballing career as she spreads her wings to India.
Nurul Azurin, who will be playing for an Indian team, departed for India from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) last Wednesday (Dec 22) night.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper’s move received the attention of the Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM), which posted their well wishes on Facebook recently.
“PFAM chief executive officer PFAM Izham Ismail had met national women’s football squad goalkeeper, at KLIA last night before she left for India to play for a club there.
“All the best, Azurin! The prayers of Malaysians are always with you,” the post read.
The post also stated that PFAM president Safee Sali had a video call with Nurul Azurin to wish her well and prayed for her continued success as she begins her new venture aboard.
Nurul Azurin had previously represented Malaysia in the 2022 Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers in Palestine, last September. – Bernama, December 25, 2021
