SEREMBAN – Despite playing without the main eleven players, Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) still put on a great show in their Super League match against Terengganu FC last night at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi here.

Head Coach K. Devan hailed the high commitment of his players in defeating Terengganu FC 2-1 and enabling his side to occupy the third position in the league.

“We could not field the main eleven in the absence of import player Matheus Alves (striker). I think it's a good achievement tonight. The players showed a good performance, they showed seriousness and tactical discipline so well during the match,” he told reporters after the match.

He also praised the performance of two imported players Gustavo Almeira and Yashir Pinto who were fielded yesterday. They scored NSFC’s goals.

Devan said he also instructed the team to not give room to TFC striker Muhammad Faisal Abdul Halim, as the player was agile land looking for space and scoring opportunities against his team.

“He (Muhammad Faisal) can dribble past two to three players and can make dangerous passes or score goals...We had a game plan to cover Faisal,” he said. – Bernama, July 28, 2022
