KUALA LUMPUR – Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT) is the first Malaysian club to join Socios.com’s world leading fan engagement and rewards platform.

The reigning eight-time consecutive Malaysian Super League Champions have dominated the domestic football scene in recent times and will now be able to create new engagement and rewards opportunities for their passionate supporters through $JDT Fan Tokens on Socios.com.

Fan tokens are digital assets that enable fans to access highly engaged communities where participation in games, club polls, predictors and other features unlocks access to rewards, including club merchandise, VIP tickets, and unique, memorable club experiences.

More than 170 major sporting organisations, including many leading football clubs from Europe and Latin America, have partnered with Socios.com to create new experiences and opportunities for their fans through Fan tokens.

JDT FC fans can look forward to voting on decisions needed to be made by the club in various areas concerning the team, stadium and JDT’s world class facilities.

Fan token holders will also be able to vote for their player and goal of the month as well as help to decide which players or staff appear in the club’s social media content.

Fan token holders will also be eligible to win special prizes, including match-worn player jerseys and other merchandise never before made available to fans to purchase.

“We are excited and proud to launch a very special partnership with Socios that has the ultimate goal of bringing our supporters closer to the club and allowing them to help determine and shape our future.

“JDT FC are always happy to collaborate with world renowned brands and Socios is another one of those because in the sports industry, they are leading the way in blockchain.

“JDT FC is also proud to be positioned alongside Socios’ other partners such as Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, PSG, and Inter Milan,” Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor and owner of Johor Darul Ta’zim FC said.

He said the partnership confirms that JDT FC is a standout option for international brands to partner with in the region, adding that the launch of the $JDT Fan Token will allow millions of JDT fans more opportunities to interact with the club and be a part of JDT family.

“At JDT FC, we have always been committed to finding new and innovative ways for our fans to extend their relationship with us, and we will work very closely with Socios to develop cutting-edge opportunities for our fans to participate and interact with the club they love so much,” said Tunku Ismail.

Meanwhile, Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Socios.com, said that JDT have dominated their domestic league in recent times, helping put Malaysian football on the map and building their passionate fan base.

“The club wants to create new opportunities for their fans, new ways to connect and be rewarded for their support. We’ve got exciting plans for the $JDT Fan Tokens and look forward to welcoming the club’s fans to the world’s biggest engagement and rewards community.”

“This partnership, our first in Malaysia, increases our presence in Southeast Asia, and we look forward to adding more partnerships with leading clubs in this region and bringing more incredibly passionate fans to Socios.com in the future,” said Dreyfus.

Socios.com’s roster features football giants FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Arsenal, Napoli, Valencia, Atlético de Madrid, and many more massive European teams. Socios.com also has a major presence across South America, including many big clubs from Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina.
