KUALA LUMPUR – Bukit Jalil National Stadium has been selected to host this year’s Malaysia Cup final, scheduled on November 26.

The decision to play the Malaysia Cup final in Bukit Jalil was made based on its easy access to public transportation, large stadium capacity, facilities, and security reasons.

In a statement earlier today, the Malaysian Football League (MFL) said that it was satisfied with the condition of the stadium, after further discussion with the Malaysian Stadium Corporation (PSM).

MFL chief executive officer Stuart Ramalingam said that it is great to work with PSM once again for the Malaysia Cup final following the FA Cup final in September.

“The FA Cup this year was a success as we had around 84,000 fans fill the stadium to watch Johor Darul Ta’zim play Terengganu. However, we expect to get a response for the Malaysia Cup

“We also know that Bukit Jalil National Stadium can accommodate a huge crowd while providing comfort for the audience,” said Stuart.

At the same time, he added that PSM will make thorough preparations in terms of field maintenance ahead of the final next week. – The Vibes, November 17, 2022
