KUALA NERUS – Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) has received RM9 million in sponsorship from several companies to assist the team’s expenditure when playing in the M League and AFC Cup next season.

TFCSB chief executive officer Ab Rasid Jusoh said the team received sponsorship in cash and kind from 15 companies, including sports equipment. 

“Among the companies were Sabasun HYPErRUNCIT Sdn Bhd, Ladang Rakyat Terengganu Sdn Bhd, Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd (EPIC), Umbro Malaysia, and Wilya Beauty Sdn Bhd.

“We welcome any form of sponsorship that can assist Terengganu FC (TFC) and Terengganu FC ll (TFC ll) this season,” he told reporters at the sponsorship signing ceremony with Sabasun HYPErRUNCIT at the TFCSB office, here today.

Also present was TFCSB chief executive officer Sabri Abas and Sabasun HYPErRUNCIT managing director, Che Salmi Che Ibrahim.           

Ab Rasid said TFCSB spent RM23 million last season to manage TFC, TFC II, and the TFCSB football academy while gate collections last season amounted to RM3.3 million.

“We hope to do better at the gates next season since the team will be playing in a number of tournaments,” he said. – Bernama, January 1, 2023
