‘I will accept any decision taken by the leadership’ – Negeri MB
Aminuddin said the absence of the four Excos did not affect the state administration - BH pix, April 29, 2026

DATUK Seri Aminuddin Harun said he will abide by any decision made by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) leadership regarding his position as Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan.

He insisted that he was always open to any decision made to ensure that the political crisis that occurred could be handled in the best possible way.

"I leave it to the party leadership, I have my president, the PH chairman, any discussion on the position as Menteri Besar, I agree … there is no problem. Negeri Sembilan is always open; we agree with the decision of our leadership.

"DAP is the same, Amanah is the same," he told a press conference after the state Exco meeting today.

The meeting was attended by all six PH State Executive Council members, after four Umno state government Excos vacated their positions following the withdrawal of support for the Menteri Besar's leadership.

Aminuddin said the absence of the four Excos did not affect the state administration, and the filling of the vacancies was likely to be completed next week.

"It does not cause any problems for us to continue with the government's programmes. We also have a National Youth Day Programme, and I have asked all the available Excos to help," he said.

Aminuddin said today's Exco meeting did not discuss the vacancy, but instead focused only on state government administrative matters.

The political turmoil in Negeri Sembilan erupted when Negeri Sembilan Umno Chairman, Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias, who is also the Pertang State Assemblyman, announced that 14 Barisan Nasional (BN)-Umno State Assemblymen had withdrawn their support from the state government and Menteri Besar last Monday.

Jalaluddin reportedly said the action was taken following dissatisfaction over issues related to customary institutions and the state constitution, which were alleged to be affecting the state government's administration and political stability at the state level. – April 29, 2026
