KUALA LUMPUR – Saudi Arabia’s Haj and Umrah Ministry has announced that the 1444H umrah visa applications for foreign pilgrims will open from today.

Saudi Press Agency quoted the ministry’s statement yesterday as saying that umrah pilgrims from inside and outside Saudi Arabia will perform umrah and pilgrimage to the Prophet’s Mosque from July 30.

Checks for umrah visa application criteria via the ministry’s portal can be done at the website https://haj.gov.sa/en/InternalPages/Umrah.

Umrah agencies from outside of Saudi Arabia who wish to apply for an umrah service licence can get more information from https://umralicense.haj.gov.sa.

According to the statement, visa applicants are also required to be jabbed with Covid-19 vaccinations recognised by the Saudi government, in addition to having a complete vaccination certificate certified by their respective countries. – Bernama, July 14, 2022
