MOF: Diesel retail price for Peninsular Malaysia reduces by 3 sen for coming week
Retail prices for RON97 and RON95 remain unchanged – March 19, 2025

THE Ministry of Finance (MOF) has confirmed a reduction in the retail price of diesel by 3 sen, effective from 20 March 2025 to 26 March 2025.

In a statement today, the ministry said, in response to fluctuations in global oil prices, the Malaysian Government adjustment brings the price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia to RM3.03 per litre.

MOF explained that the price adjustment is part of the ongoing effort to align domestic fuel prices with global oil market fluctuations while ensuring price stability for consumers.

The ministry also assured that the government will continue to monitor market developments and make further adjustments as necessary.

According to the updated pricing, the retail prices of other petroleum products for the period between 20 March and 26 March 2025 will be as follows:

- RON97 petrol will remain unchanged at RM3.28 per litre.

- RON95 petrol will also remain unchanged at RM2.05 per litre.

- The retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be reduced by 3 sen to RM3.03 per litre.

- The retail price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will remain unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

The government reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the welfare of the public is safeguarded while maintaining price stability in the market.

"These measures are part of our ongoing efforts to manage the impact of global market trends on the cost of living, ensuring that the interests of the people remain protected," the Ministry of Finance, the statement read. – March 19, 2025
