KUALA LUMPUR – The Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) is waiving the fee for late filing of company statutory documents till January 31.
The commission, in a statement today, said the fee is waived to reduce the impact on firms affected by the temporary closure of the Malaysia Business Reporting System (MBRS) for maintenance until February 28.
“CCM understands the difficulties faced, and requests that customers give way for maintenance work on MBRS to be completed.
“Maintenance work on the system does not prevent access by customers to the latest company information, which is updated through the MyCoID system.”
As an alternative, customers can submit documents on annual statements (PT), financial statements and reports (PK), exempt private company, unaudited financial statements and application for exemption or extension of time for PT or PK, and exemption applications, at counters at CCM offices nationwide, it said.
“The procedure for submitting the documents has been uploaded in the FAQ section of www.ssm.com.my.”
