KUALA LUMPUR – Sedania Innovator Bhd’s health tech business will be expanding into four new markets to promote a suite of early childcare solutions.
Offspring Inc, which is 51%-owned by Sedania, will be distributing its products to Cambodia, Finland, Spain and South Korea after receiving authorisation from each country as part of a “comprehensive international distribution programme that we have initiated”.
“On top of that, certain countries are also using well-known online shopping platforms, such as Amazon, Lazada and Shopee, to further expand their market reach,” said Sedania managing director Datuk Azrin Mohd Noor in a statement today.
Offspring is a health tech company focusing on early childcare solutions, offering products such as baby care essentials, biodegradable wet wipes, eco-friendly baby diapers and household items that use non-toxic, organic and plant based ingredients.
“Our prospect of being the premium organic baby brand in the mentioned countries is looking very promising based on the estimated birth rate numbers,” said Azrin.
“Every baby changes between three and 10 diapers a day, and they equally use as many wipes, nappy balm, lotion, head-to-toe wash and so on, and we are happy when they continue to use Offspring products.”
The expansion is expected to help Offspring gain a wider international footprint. Currently, it has a presence in the United States, Singapore, Philippines, Brunei and Russia.
Sedania is an ACE Market-listed company with a market capitalisation of RM361.9 million as of 2.11pm today. – The Vibes, May 25, 2021
