KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has not received any official proposal from the government or private sector regarding the takeover of Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS) that has since gone viral.

Chairman Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir said MAHB has briefed Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on the latest situation of LTSAAS and available plan under the “Subang Airport Regeneration” recently.

“The prime minister has given his assurance that any development proposal regarding the airport will be referred to MAHB as the main stakeholder on behalf of the government.

“Therefore, we are confident with the prime minister’s commitment in ensuring LTSAAS remains (one of) the country’s strategic and security assets.”

Zambry said MAHB is also confident that the proposal and views submitted to maintain LTSAAS as an aviation and aerospace hub will be maintained in line with a plan that has been drafted.

“LTSAAS is the second-most renowned maintenance, repair and operation centre in Asia, and fourth in the world.” – Bernama, May 28, 2021
