JUST because she failed to perform the song Awan Yang Terpilu perfectly while performing at Bobo, the legendary singer Ning Baizura received great criticism when the video recording of the song went viral on TikTok.
And, that was the first time such an incident happened to Ning after 30 years in the recording and music industry.
Awan Terpilu was the last song that Ning sang on the night of the performance at Bobo after a series of other songs.
The criticism thrown by netizens was also quite extreme, forcing Ning's die-hard fans to defend this credible singer.
Even Ning uploaded a post to respond to the brickbats.
"It's fun to insult, isn't it? Don't be rude! Oh, man who is called man, remember God is great!
"Those who want to make jokes, continue because Alhamdulillah, the more viral, the more my sustenance and performances will increase.
"There is no need to feel sorry or sympathise. You don't know my journey and what I've been through. Why do I sing that way, why do I feel that way and how do I feel that way when I sing that song.
“I sang almost 80 songs during four days continuously for two hours every night at Bobo.
"The real fans came and were very happy and supported me. Fake fans abound on social media. They just want to make fun of you and make you laugh.
"Anyway, I'm happy that suddenly many people are showing interest in my soprano style of singing. That's great.
"Come on, come learn and try to sing for 30 years and we can talk," she said.
Ning also thanked the fans who supported and defended her.
"Thank you to the fans who gave their support, especially with the appearance of this viral video," she said.
Ning once admitted that the song Awan Yang Terpilu is dedicated to her late father. And every time she performs that song he will definitely remember the figure of her biological father. – The Vibes, July 31, 2022
