THE Education Ministry is considering conducting the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exams outside of the monsoon season, said its minister Fadhlina Sidek.

"This is a suggestion we have received and we can look into it since the current SPM schedule clashes with the year-end monsoon.

"We will review it from time to time," she said after visiting the Pasir Mas district education office in Kelantan, today.

It was reported that 5,377 SPM candidates were affected by floods in three states, Kelantan, Kedah, and Terengganu.
