Parents cry foul over RM3 ‘nugget burger’ sold at school canteen

PARENTS are furious following a viral video which was shared in the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) chat group of a local school.

The mother of the child posted the video which showed a burger which was sold at the school canteen for RM3 consisting of just bread, sauce and one nugget.

According to the comments, parents have been reporting such incidents repeatedly, but nothing has been done.

"It is a real pity that our children are being treated this way," said a netizen.

It is also learnt that the canteen in a school in Setia Alam had been closed before due to cleanliness issues.

A teacher in the comments section also said that they did not have the power to act against the canteen operator as it was under the management of an independent contractor.

Parents said they felt cheated that they had to work so hard to send their children to school, only to be ripped off this way. - May 10, 2025
