Triton enthusiasts go the extra mile to help flood victims
The mission has been an annual activity of the club since its establishment in 2010.

THE Triton Turner Club Malaysia (TTCM) recently launched the 2024 Flood Relief Mission to Kedah and Perlis to help alleviate the burden of flood victims affected by the recent disaster.

The mission involved delivering 250 boxes of aid containing necessities that were donated to those in need.

TTCM Chairman, Ahmad Asri Mohd Asis, said that the mission has been an annual activity of the club since its establishment in 2010.

"This mission involved 50 Tritons, which departed from Glenmerie, Shah Alam, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) Kedah, and the Zulfaqar Foundation UPNM," he said.

The mission was officially flagged off by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at Yayasan Perdana in Putrajaya.

Ahmad Asri said that the items were donations from club members and the public, and were also distributed to flood victims in Kelantan after the mission to Kedah.

"We are very honoured to receive donations from the public and several automotive companies.

"Upon our return from Kedah, we also continued to the East Coast," he said.

He said TTCM is committed to continuing the aid mission in the future if it continues to receive support.

"We see missions like this as important to express solidarity with the victims affected by the disaster, as well as to help lighten their burden," he said. - December 23, 2024
