GLENEAGES Hospital in Penang recently showcased its Somatom Pro Pulse Dual Source CT Scanner - the first of its kind in the region.

The groundbreaking technology will elevate the standard of healthcare, especially with the state's reputation as a preferred regional healthcare hub, said state executive councillor Daniel Gooi Zi Sen.

Gooi, who oversees the health portfolio, said that he appreciated the effort by Gleneagles to invest in a state-of-the-art CT scanner.

The equipment is designed to make CT scans faster and more comfortable with more accurate diagnostics, especially in cardiology and oncology, including for emergency care.

He described the machine as a game changer in scanning and medical imaging, using AI tech.

It will revolutionise imaging at all levels, said Gooi. - April 25, 2025.
