A WOMAN recently took to social media to share a valuable lesson on how important it is to ensure your passport is always kept in a safe place.

While she was packing to fly abroad later that day, her little one found her passport and scribbled on several pages.

"I wanted to cry. While I was packing, my kid scribbled on my passport," she wrote.

She said her flight was at night and she rushed to meet an immigration officer in Putrajaya, who confirmed her passport was damaged and she would not be able to board her flight.

"It was a Saturday (June 6), and I would only be able to settle things on Monday.

"I managed to postpone my flight to Monday night, but had to pay an additional RM620.

"Please pray for me that I can settle my new passport on Monday morning and get on my flight," she wrote.

She concluded her post by saying she accepted all that had happened and that she was not at all upset with her child. - June 7, 2026
