Under the bonnet, Dongfeng uses power plants from its Japanese partner. Two engine variants are provided, a 1.5 turbo engine of Mitsubishi origin, with petrol or bifuel LPG and a CVT-type automatic transmission manufactured by ZF.

The DFSK F5 is the first model of the fourth generation of the DFSK family of SUVs, with design, innovation, functionality, quality and good price as its main strengths. The design has been one of the most important assets of the conception of this vehicle. More than twelve months of work had been invested to come up with the final sketches of its design.

Taking the best attributes from the world of sedans, coupes and SUVs it carries a global design language. Its elevated waist line, its profile descending from the B-pillar and its side view give it great personality.

The front headlights are made up of a set of LED lights, where the dynamic indicators stand out, both in the front and in the rear. All its lighting uses LED technology, with daytime running light (DRL) and Full LED headlights with specific sequences to welcome the driver as he or she approaches the vehicle and unlocks the locks.

Their designers have also added a light that is projected under the side view mirrors with the brand's logo to illuminate the ground below it. At the rear, the taillights are joined along the entire width of the tailgate by means of a light strip that acts as a position light as well as by some much needed chrome trim which is a must have with China made vehicles.
