KUALA LUMPUR – Rapper Snoop Dogg's 19 Crimes Cali Red wine is now available in Malaysia.

Californian Snoop Dogg joined forces with Australian label 19 Crimes to create the first Californian wine in the portfolio. It is a red blend with ripe, punchy fruit from the Petite Sirah, complemented by bright, slightly-candied, red fruit from the Zinfandel.

“I’m such a fan of this wine and I’m excited to bring ‘Snoop Cali Red’ to my Malaysian peeps this year and share the experience with my fans,” says Snoop Dogg. “19 Crimes is one of the most successful brands in the market, so I’m more than eager to bring this collaboration to the world!”

Kjetil Undhjem, Treasury Wine Estates chief marketing officer says 19 Crimes, like Snoop Dogg, is defiant by nature, bold in character and always uncompromising.

“Snoop Dogg is a culture creator, innovator and a leader in pop culture. Malaysians love him and we are excited to bring 19 Crimes Cali Red to Malaysia, along with other special releases in the future,” Undhjem said.

The 19 Crimes Cali Red juggernaut has taken the wine world by storm. In 2020, it became the number one new wine item launched in the US and exceeded its initial 12-month sales forecast in the first two months of launch.

As the first winery to use augmented reality to bring their labels to life through the ‘Living Wine Labels’ app, 19 Crimes is the number one brand contributing to growth in the Australian wine category.

This line extension will cast a modern lens on 19 Crimes, a series of wines inspired by rule-breakers and real stories of redemption.

19 Crimes wines were named after the rebellious spirit of the more than 160,000 exiled men and women, the rule breakers and law-defying citizens that forged a new culture and national spirit in Australia.

19 Crimes is available exclusively at Jaya Grocer retailing at RM109.90, while the core range retails at RM86. Follow 19 Crimes on Facebook for updates.
