THE official trailer for Netflix's long-awaited docuseries on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was released on Monday and is already causing a stir in the UK.

Titled 'Harry and Meghan', the six-part series looks to offer an intimate and vulnerable look into the relationship of Harry and Meghan, from the early days of their courtship to the challenges and controversies that prompted them to step away from their official roles within the British monarchy.

There will also be commentary from family and friends – many of whom have never spoken publicly about the events that unfolded, as well as historians and journalists who dissect how the media influenced Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the royal family and the Commonwealth at large.

"The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy," Harry says in the trailer, his words set poignantly to footage of his mother, Princess Diana, a strong critic of the British monarchy after a tumultuous marriage to King Charles III, who was then the Prince of Wales.

"I realised, they're never going to protect you," says Meghan in the trailer.

Harry & Meghan promises to be a global Netflix event and will premiere in two parts, with Volume I (Episodes 1-3) debuting on December 8, while Volume II (Episodes 4-6) will be released on December 15. – The Vibes, December 7, 2022
