DESPITE being on leave, PKR Deputy President Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli attended the PKR Central Leadership Council (MPP) meeting held in Putrajaya yesterday.
This was confirmed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who stated that the Minister of Economy attended the meeting yesterday to discuss the results of the PKR elections at the branch level.
"Yesterday we attended... we discussed the results... (everything) went well Alhamdulillah," he said after the Temu Anwar programme at a private higher learning institution (IPTS) today.
Previously, Rafizi was reported to have taken leave, sparking heated discussions among PKR grassroots especially ahead of the nominations for the 2025 party elections.
The Prime Minister also stressed that the Pandan MP's action of taking leave should not be made an issue.
Rafizi was reported to be on leave until May 31, while the PKR election process is currently underway with the nominations for the 2025 PKR central leadership to be held this Thursday and Friday.
PKR election committee chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa earlier dismissed suggestions that the decision to postpone nominations for the central leadership elections was related to Rafizi's leave of absence.
PKR secretary-general Dr Fuziah Salleh tpday said the party's top leadership had met and heard presentations from the election committee and an international digital auditor on how the polls were conducted. - May 5, 2025
