THE mystery surrounding the disappearance of a part-time real estate agent has ended in tragedy after his body was discovered floating in Tasik Astana Alam, Puncak Alam, on Sunday. Authorities believe the man drowned.

Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor, Sungai Buloh District Police Chief, said a report was received regarding the discovery of a man’s body at approximately 10.45am.

"Following the report, police personnel were dispatched to the location to conduct further investigations," he stated in a press release on Saturday.

Checks revealed that the man's wife had lodged a police report after he left home in a dishevelled state at around 5am on Saturday and failed to return.

The body, believed to have been discovered by members of the public, was subsequently reported to the authorities.

Initial investigations identified the deceased as a 31-year-old man who had been working as a part-time real estate agent.

"So far, police have found no criminal elements at the scene," said Superintendent Mohd Hafiz.

"The body has been sent to the Forensic and Pathology Department at Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem examination."

He added that the case is currently classified as a sudden death report (SDR).

“The public is urged not to speculate on the incident as it could interfere with the investigation.

“Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to approach the nearest police station or contact Investigating Officer Sergeant Major Fuzi Kamazan at 012-3818167,” he said. - May 12, 2025
