POLICE have arrested three suspects, including two women, to assist in the investigation into the murder of a university student in Cyberjaya, last Tuesday.
Sepang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman said the arrests were made around Johor Bahru, Johor and Gemencheh, Negeri Sembilan.
According to him, the investigation resulted in a raid conducted between 9am yesterday and 2am this morning.
The raid was carried out by police from Bukit Aman, the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters and Sepang IPD.
The three suspects, aged 19 and 20, are believed to be acquaintances of the victim.He said the arrests were made within 48 hours of receiving the report.
All suspects will be brought to the Sepang Sessions Court this morning to obtain a remand order.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
He advised the public not to speculate or share false information that could affect the investigation.
It was earlier reported that Maniishapriet Kaur, 20, was found dead in her home, believed to have been murdered on Tuesday morning.
The victim, who was originally from Sarawak, was found dead by a housemate with head injuries at approximately 10.28am in Mutiara Ville, Cyberjaya. - June 26, 2025
