EITHER they do not understand or simply choose to ignore.

Despite certain parking bays reserved for EV charging, many drivers continue to park their non-EV vehicles there.

In a recent TikTok video, a Honda CRV is seen clamped after parking in a Tesla-exclusive charging bay at a shopping mall in the Klang Valley.

“The sign clearly says Tesla only. Clamping fee is RM50,” the user says, pointing at a signboard at the bay that warns drivers of the penalty for misusing the space.

Some netizens said the RM50 penalty was too low for such selfish drivers, pointing out that some operators imposed a RM200 penalty. - June 27, 2025
