THE family of actor and singer Parvin Nair Surendran, who died in an accident at Kilometre 9.9 of the Federal Highway on August 7, is appealing to road users who have dashcam footage to come forward to assist in the investigation.
The deceased's younger sister, S Yesotha, said the accident near the Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station, Shah Alam, occurred between 8 and 9.30 pm, when her brother was riding a motorcycle heading towards Kuala Lumpur.
So far, she said, efforts to locate the dashcam footage have been unsuccessful.
"No party has come forward yet, we appeal to anyone who was passing through the area at the time to please check the dashcam footage," she said.
According to Yesotha, Parvin's passing was deeply felt, especially since the deceased was the only son in the family. The deceased has three older sisters and a younger sister.
"I just got married last month, about a few weeks ago. He (Parvin) was the one who took care of everything for me," she said.
Parvin, 33, who had just married Gangie Esshini in March, was found dead by the public after being involved in an accident.
The deceased also starred in the Astro dramas Kalyanam to Kadhal and Manmadha Bullets, and the film Dhanussh.
Parvin's popularity was growing after starring in the drama, boosting his name in the local entertainment industry.
Members of the public who have any information regarding the incident are asked to contact Yesotha at 012-2539309 immediately. - August 15, 2025
