A MAN was killed after his head was severed in a gruesome car accident in Taman Permata Impian, Jalan Felda Taib Andak, last night.

The incident, which involved a Honda City slamming into a five-ton Hino lorry parked on the side of the road, left one man dead and another injured.

A spokesperson for the Johor Fire and Rescue Department said they received an emergency call at 10:36 p.m. and dispatched eight personnel, along with a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit. The team, led by Mohd Firdaus Juritah, arrived at the scene, located six kilometres from the Kulai Fire and Rescue Station, at 10:43 p.m.

The car's driver, an adult male, suffered injuries but was not trapped and was already removed from the vehicle by the public before firefighters arrived. However, the passenger in the front of the same vehicle was found trapped and dead.

"The victim was decapitated," the spokesperson said in a media statement.

The deceased was an adult male, and firefighters had to use special equipment to extricate him from the wreckage before handing over the body to the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the police for further action. - September 21, 2025
