PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has hosted presenters from the ‘Islam and the Emerging World Order’ conference, organised by the International Institute of Futures Studies at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), at a gathering in Seri Perdana, Putrajaya, yesterday.
Anwar said the meeting provided an opportunity for an expansive and substantive exchange of ideas on contemporary issues, such as challenges within the public service, the rise of xenophobia, and the future direction of the global order amid a period of mounting uncertainty.
“Additionally, two representatives from Sarajevo drew attention to the writings of Tajuddin al-Subki, specifically *Mu’id al-Ni’am wa Mubid al-Niqam* (The Restorer of Favours and the Restrainer of Chastisements), which offer guidance relevant to today’s governance challenges,” he said in a Facebook post.
Anwar expressed hope that such dialogues could be expanded to support critical assessments of current government policies and to help identify actions and strategies “that can benefit not only Muslims but the entire world.” - December 6, 2025
