INSPECTOR-General of Police Datuk Seri Khalid Ismail has assured M. Indira Gandhi that the Royal Malaysian Police remain fully committed to executing all court orders and to locating her daughter, Prasana Diksa, who was abducted by her ex-husband almost 17 years ago.
Khalid conveyed this during a meeting at the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman yesterday evening, a session that also included Indira’s two other children, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Reforms) M. Kulasegaran, and Indira Gandhi Action Team (INGAT) chairman Arun Dorasamy.
During discussions, Kulasegaran requested that the police provide additional support to Indira in her ongoing efforts to find her daughter, while Indira and Arun expressed hope that the search efforts would be intensified.
“We welcome any information to assist in locating her,” Khalid said, emphasising that the police are committed to enforcing court orders, including the directive to find Prasana Diksa.
Despite these assurances, Indira expressed disappointment with the meeting’s outcome, citing a lack of substantial updates regarding active police measures to trace her daughter.
This meeting follows the high-profile March for Justice from Sogo KL to Bukit Aman in November, which drew attention to the unresolved abduction and the family’s persistent appeals for action. - December 11, 2025
