KUALA LUMPUR – Water supply for 58 areas in Klang and Shah Alam, and 72 areas in the Petaling district is being restored after repair works were completed in Section 15, Shah Alam.

Starting at 9.30pm today, water supply will be restored in stages, said Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd.

It is expected that the water supply will be fully restored by tomorrow noon.

At 1pm today, Air Selangor shut down water supply due to a burst main pipe at Persiaran Tengku Ampuan in Section 15, Shah Alam.

“The water supply recovery period for consumers will be different from one area to another, depending on the location and distance of the consumers’ premises.”

However, tonight 43 areas in the Petaling district have their water supply suddenly cut off.

The pipe, 1m in diameter, was damaged this evening due to a landslide.

This has caused an unscheduled water supply disruption in Damansara Utama, Seapark and Seaport.

Repair works are ongoing but Air Selangor has yet to ascertain its completion schedule. – The Vibes, December 29, 2020
