OFFICERS form the Royal Malaysia Customs have seized five vehicles, including a Porsche 911 Turbo S, that had been concealed in licensed warehouses for three months in an apparent bid to evade excise duties.
The raid took place at various locations around Port Klang between 17 and 27 October, including within the Free Trade Zone, with the total value of the confiscated vehicles estimated at RM475,383.
The Director of Selangor Customs, Mohamad Azhar Ahmad Paharazi, explained that investigations revealed three petrol-powered vehicles had exceeded the permitted three-month storage period in licensed warehouses.
“These include a Toyota Granace, a Porsche 911 Turbo S, and a BMW 420i M Sport Auto, with the warehouse owner failing to pay the required customs duties,” he said.
Two electric vehicles, branded Dongfeng Forthing, were also seized.
“These are believed to have been imported without valid permits, even though they had been declared via Free Zone forms,” Mohamad Azhar added.
He added the five vehicles were reportedly imported from Japan, Europe, and China.
“The total duties for these five vehicles amount to RM541,246, and the case is being investigated under Section 135 (1) (a) and (d) of the Customs Act 1967,” he said during a press conference at the North Port Customs Office today. - December 15, 2025
