HIS Majesty Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah on Saturday graciously launched UM Immersive 120, a state-of-the-art interactive space created in conjunction with Universiti Malaya’s 120 years of academic excellence.

The immersive initiative traces Universiti Malaya’s journey from its early beginnings as an educational institution to its emergence as a world-class research university, highlighting key milestones, national contributions and the achievements of its distinguished alumni.

Sultan Nazrin, who is also the Chancellor of Universiti Malaya, later visited the Universiti Malaya Art Gallery to view the exhibition titled Legacy in Canvas: A Tribute to His Royal Highness Al-Marhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah.

The exhibition features a curated collection of portraits documenting the life journey of the late Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, from his days as a law student to his distinguished roles as magistrate, Lord President and Chancellor, reflecting his lifelong dedication to academic excellence and the rule of law.

Upon his arrival at the Universiti Malaya Chancellery, Sultan Nazrin was received by Universiti Malaya Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Seri Dr Noor Azuan Abu Osman. - December 20, 2025
