NOORYANA Najwa Najib – the daughter of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak believes guilty verdict in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) corruption trial does not erase Najib’s lifetime of service.

"A court verdict cannot erase a lifetime of service, love and commitment to the people.

"We stay hopeful… We stay strong," she said in an Instagram post.

The text was placed over a photo of Najib's grandchild with the image captioned: "The sweetest thing I saw today."

Earlier today, Najib was found guilty of four charges of abuse of power and 21 charges of money laundering involving RM2.3 billion of 1MDB funds.

High Court judge Datuk Collin Lawrence Sequerah delivered the ruling after finding that the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt. – December 26, 2025
