COMMUNICATIONS Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has urged a Facebook user identified as Syafinas Abu Bakar to reflect on her actions and refrain from spreading false information on social media.
"Hopefully Syafinas Abu Bakar will see the error of her ways. Do not turn slander into a staple of daily life," Fahmi wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.
The statement follows a denial issued by Buletin TV3 concerning an article purportedly titled, "TikTok Malaysia will be shut down as it harms our country – Fahmi Fadzil."
In its rebuttal, Buletin TV3 categorically dismissed the claim, describing it as false and clarifying that the minister had never made such a statement.
Earlier, Syafinas Abu Bakar had shared the story on her social media account, accompanied by the caption: "Today we see it, not affecting the buyers but the sellers and promoters. Prices have to be raised to maintain profit levels. It is like a 'silent killer'."
