A MALAYSIAN civil servant’s plan to enjoy a massage ended abruptly after an Indonesian woman offering the service was detained during a raid by the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, on Tuesday night.
The man, in his 40s, told reporters that he was visiting the capital to play golf and was staying at a nearby hotel.
“At the time, I went out to buy food and came across several women, who were masseuses at the premises. They pulled and coaxed me for a massage. At first, I refused, but they kept insisting. Coincidentally, my body was sore from playing golf,” he explained.
He added that he eventually agreed to receive the service and paid RM60 to an Indonesian woman. “I then entered the massage room, but the session never took place because the raid happened,” he said.
The targeted venue was one of three massage parlours raided by JIM Kuala Lumpur at around 11 pm, following two weeks of intelligence gathering and surveillance. Sinar Harian reported that many foreign workers fled the scene to avoid arrest.
Investigations revealed that most of the workers in the premises were Indonesians lacking valid passports and work permits. One detainee, Lina, 35, from Medan, Indonesia, said she arrived in Malaysia in July last year and had been working at the massage parlour since then. - December 31, 2025
